"First time with the champ"

I understand wanting to try out new champs and other things but can you do it in a game where it doesn't throw it for those that do know the champ they are playing. I have had this in the last three games. I finally got use to the patch now but now everyone had decided to blind play champs. It's getting really old.

if you have over 500 games played last thing you need to be saying is it's my first time with this champ sorry I fed.

Just doesn't work like that, basic mechanics don't change all of a sudden.

Indeed. Even if you dont get the champ at first you should have a grasp of it by the end of the game. I played Singed for the first time in months today. Started fine but the rest of my team, including a first time ap mid Ez, just fed like thanksgiving. All i did was stall the game.

Alright guys, you heard the man. No trying out new champions in games. Officially not cool.

But seriously, if a person's doing terribly with a champion because of poor mechanics and game sense, what makes you think them picking any other champion would somehow fix those mechanics? That, and the best way to improve is simply experience. It shouldn't surprise you if someone does poorly because of them playing a new champion, and it's sorta silly to be frustrated with them considering you have probably done the same exact thing to a multitude of people.

Of course Ranked matches are different. It's entirely understandable to be frustrated with someone for going in blind in ranked, but there's always the option of not playing ranked...

There are many ways to play champs that don't impact anything and get you better mechanics. Human Vs AI games, Practice games. I'm talking about people picking Lee Sin, Zed, Ezreal, where the skill ceiling is high. People are complaining on not knowing what skills do. I know that one man practice games are disabled but there are still ways. And why not play ranked? Why should I have to be penalized to not play that when they should know better. No great solution here.

But there aren't any methods of practicing against random people doing random things, like you would in a real game, without being in a real game. You're limiting their options and desires with that mindset as much as they limit yours with theirs.
And sure, not a fantastic solution. The best solution would be to systematically psychically shut off the computers of everyone who's intending to pick randomly or new champions in ranked and then que up for a game with clairvoyant assurance that something like that isn't going to happen. But, unfortunately, that isn't a realistic option :D
You shouldn't have to be penalized to not play, I agree. However there isn't much you can do about people making dumb decisions in ranked. So, if it's so common and gets you worked up enough to post about it then your options really do boil down to 5que, don't play, or just accept that it happens and get over it.

These are my thoughts exactly.

Trying a new champ does not exempt you from blame of playing poorly. Sure you aren't used to the abilities or combos but the game remains the same. Play smart, build smart, and nothing too bad will happen to you even if you are on a new champ.
