How much can 1 player impact a game?

I come from dota/hon and the biggest thing I hate with those games is that no matter how well I play, if I have 4 other team mates working against me a win just isn't happening. Does LoL have the same effect? I'm npt looking to 1v5 everything but I just want to have more of a contribution to win if I'm playing well.

Ummm it's worse in LoL then in the other Moba games since the skillcap doesn't allow for it all that much, you can literally 1v5 in Dota 2 if you're farmed and good enough.

This more so then that you can't 1v5,cause i've seen people actually 1v5 and win in dota
You're fairly screwed if your team is bad and theirs isn't equally

He's saying that idiots give up in a 4v5 vs bots, not that you should actually give up.

Tell that to the 2 other dudes that leave my team when 1 guy quits.
I stay and have won but peeps leave as soon as someone leaves.

it ain't as bad as DotA yet.

iirc, FB and automatic 1 leaver right away. Not only that once more than 2 people leave everyone just leaves as well.

A lot if you're a player capable of reasoning good choices to your team in a rational/timely manner and communicate things well beyond what would seem nessercary.

Probably one of the biggest issues with lower end elo (and sometimes higher end as I've witnessed watching other people) is that teams can't keep together and prioritise objectives correctly, and usually don't plan in regards to anything but the next 10 seconds.

People with a calm and rational mind, but a (wisely) aggressive and driven playstyle can usually come out on top. The game requires people to work with the team, but if you're capable in most games you should have the team be working with "you".
