Honestly, it kinda changed mine a good bit. I never thought anyone would ever show League at a bar.

Isn't e-sports already a thing? It has a small audience when you compare it to something like the NFL or the NBA, but compared to 5-6 years ago the e-sports scene is doing much better.

Didn't Marc Merill say more people were watching League than MLB?

Not to mention paid salaries for pro teams and that hinted 25 million prize pool for Season 3.
I sense a disturbance in the force.

It's actually from a Buffalo Wild Wings in Cali

Edit: Oh wait, just realized it's that specific one. The empty BWW that mainly gets business as a Barcraft

Highly doubt it. MLB is a fairly popular sport and about 10-15 million people watch the World Series each year. I think Twitch.tv would explode if it had that many viewers on one stream.

Having what is perhaps the single worst 'e-sport' after call of duty on a large screen does not convince me that e-sports can 'be a thing', no.

I don't think it's ever really gonna be a thing. I honestly think it's just a failed, really forced attempt to make gaming mainstream enough to make money off of it. It's bad enough I encounter tools who say uber and pwn enough in public, I don't want to run into more of them...
