Malady on TF?

#1LithiusPosted 12/13/2012 1:06:28 AM
I hadn't noticed this item but I've been playing TF lately and it seems like a good item for him. I was curious if it is considered better than other items for him, and if it's worth it should it be bought sooner or later? Thanks for any help.

It's alright but someone like Diana or Orianna can make better use of it.

assuming ap, then sooner because as the game goes on it becomes more dangerous to autoattack your enemy without gold/red card, or even autoattack in general.

if ad then whatever keep playing with fire

AP TF is about poke, you're not autoattacking. On-hit TF is a gimmick and idk why you'd get this on AD TF.

Isn't LB a lot better? You should really only auto attack once to get that gold card off, that's about it. You don't use his auto attacks for a steady stream of damage.

Yes, TF is one of the core LB users. I always see bad people rush it on him early though and die because they don't have the AP to back it up and as a result can't outburst the other caster. It's even worse to rush now that they removed the MR component from it.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't even know AD TF was still a thing. I've just been playing against intermediate bots so far since he's a tough champ to learn and i'm new to him. I can tell TF is not a champion who's strong in a 1-1 fight he needs his team. I kept getting this Xin down to a sliver of health with gold card and wild card but he killed me before i could finish him off I was thinking Malady might be a good way to deal with this situation but it seems i need to be avoiding 1-1 fights unless i have the obvious advantage going in.

No, you just don't 1v1 Xin.

TF is fragile but is a great ganker and poker. That's why people pick him for AP mid.

Is spell vamp worth investing in for TF? I've been thinking about building Will of the Ancients after Rabadon's and Lich Bane, but I'm not sure if it's worth it over Hourglass or Grail.

Not really, no. Again, he's about poking from a long range away, and then surprising them with a bit of burst to finish them. He's so squishy anyways, spellvamp wouldn't improve his survivability much. Also, his primary source of damage, wild cards, is aoe, so reduced SV.

And i really suspect that his pick a card bonus damage WON'T proc Spellvamp either, since Fizz's urchin strike doesn't trigger SV either.
