There are way too many ignorant, hetero nerds in this topic.

Using the argument that none of the champions' sexual orientations matter is bogus. Everyone is implied to be straight in our society unless the individual makes it known that they're not, which is the reason something like this is even an issue in the first place. Having one or two champions out of over one hundred that belong to the LGBTQ community shouldn't be the end of the world for you.

I also find it interesting that gay marriage was brought up in this topic. I don't think this has anything to do with gay marriage, but thanks to the users who spouted off their dumb opinions on that topic.

Indeed, no male really fits effectively here or feels right in my opinion. Pantheon is a childhood friend. By the time Leona is confronting Diana in the temple that friendship is long distant I feel, or isn’t really relevant. They’ve both grown up. Diana however is, again, a component of balance, a true foil. Not in the good/evil way, but a story foil, a pendulum that swings back and forth. Diana and Leona share something, probably at multiple levels. Whether it’s simply the supernatural attraction of their respective powers that draws them near or something that transcends occasional passing friendship. They are drawn together, possibly to a level that goes beyond platonic.

Again, what we wanted/want to do is to inject the unorthodox and the tragic, and the tragedy of unorthodoxy butting up against rigidity. Doubt is a key factor in Diana's motivations and character, she is the introduction of doubt within the Solari and also to Leona. You raise another element of our intent. If their relationship is something in fact other than what is accepted in that society, how is that viewed? More unorthodoxy, more doubt, more tragedy, more richness.
