-Not Trinity
-Bloodthirster and Black Cleaver are great offense items on him
-Maw, Atmas, Frozen Mallet for a tankier build
-Don't be afraid to grab a bloodthirster then go pure tank if your team needs it.

I actually find trinity to be pretty decent on Jayce.

Although Brutalizer -> BC gives him higher damage in theory, the amount of obscene burst via Sheen proc on Trinity is quite nice.

Trinity synergizes too well for jayce to not get it.

Get the early brut but then go trinity.

He auto attacks twice (that would get the proc) during his spell combo. Wasting 4k gold on that is not a good idea. A BF Sword gives you more damage in your spell rotation.

He does benefit from all of Trinity's stats though. I think it's a really solid item on him.

Late game though, trinity goes a long way. Although I can see why AD/Off tank jayce would be ridiculous, The extra bonuses from Triforce make Jayce quite a stomper mid game.

That said, I do see your logic.And I might try skipping Tri for the sake of a brutalizer or a BF Sword.

I always went Trinity then BloodThirster then IE/BC.

As a Jayce main it's not very hard to itemize for him at all and you really need are 4 items, but I prefer to build him with more tankiness in mind.

BT
Defensive boots
Randuins
Wit's end

Later on BC and GA are both the last items I tend to get and of course switching the order of the items is needed sometimes.

So does nearly everyone in the game.

It costs too much for stats he barely needs.

Skip triforce get AD.

Blood thirster and black cleaver are great on jayce.
