Does the Butcher passive make spirit stone items cost inefficient for non-jungle

rs?

In particular, I've been looking at the Golem Spirit. I love getting it on my tankier junglers and having tenacity there so I can grab Ninja Tabi with no regrets there. Paired with health, its pretty much the only tenacity alternative to Mercs that I like so far.

But is it cost efficient for non-junglers to get if they're not planning on spending much time in the jungle? I'm not talking about starting machete in lane or anything. For the sake of theory crafting, pretend it's the third or fourth item in your build, and you can buy it full out. Is it worth it? Or should you look for other defensive stats elsewhere?

I don't know much about the others. I assume if you really wanted the spell vamp and such from Wraiths, WotA is a much better option for spellcasters. Golems is the only one I really see being possibly worth it.

I get the golem on tops like ww, because its pretty decent. Same with ancient lizard on someone who needs the slow. I built the wraith one on brand at one point in pbe and didnt see it being too terrible, but a wota wouldve been better.

You just have to justify getting it, so if youre having a hard time farming it would be pretty decent to get.

But if it's only for junglers, doesn't that mean people would be better off starting jungle with machete, and then just selling it later once they have enough DPS to take out the jungle camps quickly without it?

Depends, but right now most of the items that spirit stone builds into are strong late game options, most notably elder lizard and ancient golem.

Spirit stone provides decent regen as well if philo isn't cutting it for you.

people build wriggles on laners, no reason they cant build spirit stone items.

spirit items are cost-inefficient on laners because the anti-jungle-creep passive only works on jungle creeps, not minions.

*checks*

Huh. I guess that makes sense though, or people like Heimer could simultaneously push all three lanes hard.

Yes, but as per my theory craft question, does the gold that goes toward that passive make the rest of the item inefficient for later game?
