Renekton dominates his lane early if you play him well. If you get beaten or camped top and do bad, however, you fall off quite a bit. Jayce is fairly strong top and doesn't fall off as hard as Renekton does. Renekton is a stronger laner in the hands of a skilled player, but Jayce is safer and more consistent.

alright sweet jayce it is! now builds?! i was thinking rush tri force, or just go brutalizer into cleaver?

It seems people like to rush BC/BT on pretty much any bruiser nowadays, including Jayce. I think tri force is still good as a second or third item, but don't quote me on that.

They're both horrible champs with zero late game presence and you should feel bad for wanting to play them.
