So out of curiosity, why aren't we getting any guides for this game?

The reason I've never considered writing a GameFAQs guide for this game is because this game is constantly, constantly patched with new champions, adjusted damages on skills, new items, items being changed or removed, and the meta for how the game is played changing regularly.

If one were to write a champion guide this month, even with recommended item builds, skill descriptions and skill orders, it probably wouldn't be applicable in three months.

Just take a look at how many views some guides get:

The problem is that Solomid has a system that checks people for being 2k elo players and those guides get a ton of views because they know the person writing them is very good at the game.

If we offered something like $10 per nice, detailed (read: formatted with tables and images and such) FAQ per Champion, do you think that would get people interested in making some guides for us?

Would you be giving out $10 even if the guide itself is full of terrible information, it just looks nice?

Such as half the top rated guides on mobafire.

So basically, this is another game where a single game site is just more preferred than a general use site then?

If you offer something like a reward, then at least give a set amount of time to see if the guide writer will at least update and manage his guide. However, the site must be friendly with it too.

Also, you could broaden this to have guides in another languages, such as portuguese. (This game popularity on Brasil is high)
And we have a lot of speakers of other languages. Having such versatility could bring people here for guides.

The problem with guides is keeping them up to date here. We can't just right a guide a leave it. Biggest Example: Eve. Eve was for a time considered overpowered, with her ability to run in stealthed and stun you, probably killing you outright. She got a few nerfs and became a gimmick jungler using Smite/Revive. Her legs were broken ON PURPOSE and considered by all the worst champion in the entire game, at which point a guide should be rewriten as "Pick a different champion". The only reason she wasn't entirely removed from the game at that point was people enjoyed her in Dominion, and she was decent in there. Now she is a good pick again, but back to being a mid laner that roams a lot.

Each 2-3 weeks a guide should be updated, but I don't think we have the people that care enough to KEEP updating a guide.
