Honestly I'd rather have double mid than a bad jungler. As long as someone has a solo lane nothing really changes.

Hell with a good gank resistant adc solo bot/double mid should be a thing.

who is the meta and why do so many people follow him.
what if he leads you off a cliff? If the meta jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?
What if he makes you blind squirrels who do a set pattern because he tells you to?
And finally,
What if he's right and that actually is the best setup and it's not the decree of some meta, it's what you're SUPPOSED to be doing because it's been proven to work best?

You probably did something like locking in Vayne mid and then going "lol qq moar metasheep" when your team got pissed at you for going 0/5/0 in less than ten minutes to Panth. That's not breaking the meta, it's being a contrary little prick.
