I've gone with Shen and started with a mana crystal before, didn't feed and helped get kills and stuff. In the end we lost and everyone blamed our Ryze for feeding their 8/0ish Gragas.

I often take clarity with Vladimir and win my lane. If I'm super ahead, I build a manamune for the hell of it.

I was in a 10 man premade ARAM with friends and they started while I was in another room. I had my AP masteries and runes selected and got Draven.

So I went AP Draven.
