If I have 200 armour and someone has 201 AD, and said person auto's me. He only does 1 health damage to me? Or is there so kind of formula for AD + Armour. This is of course said person has no armour penetration.

Incoming physical damage is multiplied by a factor based on the unit's armor:
Damage multiplier = 100 / (100 + Armor) if Armor >= 0
Damage multiplier = 2 - 100 / (100-Armor) if Armor <= 0
25 armor - 0.8 incoming physical damage (20% reduction).
100 armor - 0.5 incoming physical damage (50% reduction).
-25 armor - 1.20 incoming physical damage (20% increase).

Put your mouse over your armor stat and it will show the amount of Physical DMG reduction.

Say is 50%, that means if someone hits you for 100DMG then you only take 50DMG

It reduces damage by a percentage. Take a look at this:

Every point of armor is 1% more effective hp.

If you have flat 10armor pen, you technically ignore 10% of their effective hp via armor, if you're doing physical damage.

Same with Magic resist.
History is only as accurate as the Author of the Book.

Simply put, 100 points of armor increases your damage reduction vs physical damage by 50%. So:

100 armor = 50% damage reduction
200 armor = 75% damage reduction
300 armor = 87.5% damage reduction

etc etc. The same is true for Magic Resist.
