Ya SotAG is really amazing on him, I sometimes even rush it + tabis if I get some kills early. Makes you able to dive pretty much anyone early as hell, making your already incredible ganks even stronger.

Sheen is the only damage item Skarner needs, the rest is pure tank. Iceborn is the tanky sheen.

Even MORE perma-slow.

I actually find Skarner somewhat diminished in S3, which is disappointing because I love Skarner. I feel Hecarim is better than him now, in a total reversal of their S2 fortunes.

Yeah, more slows never hurt. IBG is just the trimmed down, more efficient version of Tri-Force that all tanky dps love though, and Skarner is great at procing their passives.
