It's unfair, if they weren't cheating, they shouldn't be banned.

I figured they were banned because of their anti-Semitism, threatening a Riot employee with violence, and admitting to DDOS'ing another LoL player's stream. All of those are either illegal or ridiculously stupid activities.

edit: I'm assuming we're talking about the pro player bans that were handed out recently.

Who was banned? I missed that story

Those behind this are probably the same kind of people who want sodas and whatever else they deem bad banned. Regulating player behaviour seems to be the norm now. In fact, it's a reflection of our current culture.

Back in 2000ish, the idea of banning or otherwise punishing people for not behaving "appropriately" was inconceivable. I'm not sure what happened since. Looks like people are taking games just a little too seriously now.

Yeah, people complain about not being able to play them anymore. They just need to chill out and do something else, y'know?

Alternatively, they need to not agree to follow rules and then break them.

Has anyone actually gotten a ban for "ez"? I see so many people claim it will get you banned but never heard of it actually happening.

People who say that tend to also say a lot of other things though...

Trash talking the other team is fine to taunt the opponent. Doing it to your own team is just stupid. After a game also has no purpose other than being a d***. EZ is hardly offensive though. Sometimes people go way too far without realizing it though.

I laugh when I see "EZ" after a really close game though when a feeder says it.

The art of talking without actually saying anything. I know you were trying to be sarcastic, but leave that to the pros.

Riot wants their audience to be a bunch of little girls with literally no skin and takes insults they see over the internet to heart.

The DarkwinJax account established the highest harassment score ever recorded on the EU West server. No player, before or since, has matched this degree of negative behavior.
In game chat, Abusagr has threatened to physically injure players, including a Riot employee.
His previous accounts are replete with a very large number of racist and anti-Semitic insults.
DarkwinJax was reported more than 1,000 times during a 375-game period

Sounds like it.

Why should people be entitled to trash talk?

There's a mute button.

You didn't answer the question.
