Is Gangplank any good for carrying games?

I've recently been developing a build with Gangplank and started out really successful but started evening out. Started as 4-1 and now I am 5-3 in ranked mid 1500 elo games on my smurf(Where I test different builds in a more competitively environment, although the smurf's elo is still still debatable I assume my teammates are trying to win =P)

My build is to start with Flask and potions for sustain. My goal is go back around 1050 gold to rush a tear and boots. From here it is situational, if I am fighting AD or AP. I max oranges second for an easy laning phase since I get so much mana/mana regen from tear.

Against AD -> Rush Iceborn Gauntlets after tear
Against AP -> Rush Warmog after tear

Goals -> Muramana, Ice Born Gauntlets, Warmogs
Muramana also synergies with IBG and parrley procs IBG and Muramana.

The damage spike is huge once you get Muramana and IBG. Finish off with the build with banshee Viel and Atmas to contribute to your high health and mana giving you more damage, defense, and crits. Overall it is a fun and decent build. I am still trying to tweak it.

I am still tweaking the build, because I've noticed that the downside is the lack of carrying power prior to finishing IBG and Muramana. Finishing them usually takes you into the early 20 or mid 20 min mark. Which in many soloQ games, the game could have already been decided through a high kill count on either team.

Neat but mid is not an issue. From what I can gather so far he is not up to carry, which is a shame - guess IŽll be going Graves or some other carry when I have the spare IP.

Cool, but if someone asked me about a jungler IŽd make a case for it ppl saying no and yes you sorta just count yes and noŽs ^^.

I know he was a boss at some point, but can he still be one? =)

I am sooo low on IP because I just spent a fortune on new runes ^^. Otherwise I would just buy and try dammit you can make most things work, maybe not tank Sona but within reason, but thanks you seem pretty confident so IŽll keep it in mind =).

Pickpocket means he gets paid for harassing squishy bot lane champs. And after laning is done you're free to start shooting minions to make even more bank. Meanwhile your ult gives you mad assists since you can help in fights anywhere on the map. It's fuuuun
