I fail to see reasoning behind besides it being incredibly annoying.

I'd understand higher RP price, but why higher IP price?

Because poor people like you don't have the actual money to spend on RP and buy everything with IP. Riot is sick of freeloaders playing like noobs but having every champ, so they upped the release price to make feeders rage and uninstall.

So people dont rush to buy the new champ with IP, making it hard for the RP buyers to even use their purchase.

If anything, I wish the price was higher than that for the first week. Make it 12,000 IP.

Just to be safe, I am going with both.


The idea is to make there be an incentive to buy the hero with RP. If you make it accessible to everyone, then there is no longer an incentive.

This is obvious. And it's a good idea if you want to, you know.... make money.

They should make the IP cost higher for longer. Like a month though. That way people have time to wrestle in their minds with themselves before caving and buying RP for it. I know that strategy would work on me, since I'm really simple.
