I can't afford a gaming desktop but I wanna play this game, what are my options?

I mean I have a "laptop" that I play on, but it's powered by a hamster running around on an exercise wheel.

Jokes aside, it runs LoL on the lowest settings @ 10-31 FPS.

And I mean the lowest.

However, $1000+ seems a little bit...much.
I can afford it, but I feel it's a huge waste of money.

Am I being cheap or is this kind of investment worth it?

You don't need that much for a decent gaming desktop.

$1000 is more than enough to run this game on absolute max settings with capped framerate.

I run LoL on my laptop with the lowest settings (30-60 fps) and do just fine. Only thing that might help me (aside from getting better) is a mouse.

Yeah they helped me build a PC with a raedon graphics card, it was just under 1000 (no monitor).

I can't build my own though.

If you can't build, here's a place that has a lot of pre built ones.

$1000 is more what you pay to run this game perfectly fine of default settings on a new laptop. A new desktop these days shouldn't run you anywhere near as much.

I have an average computer at best and that was like 4 years ago. I added 2 more GB or ram to make it 4, and bought a $70 graphics card and it handles this game more than fine.
