TrevorkkhoPosted 2/3/2013 10:02:30 PM | $500 desktop can run this on max setting(i5, decent rams, 50-70 bucks graphic card)

FerretDruidPosted 2/3/2013 10:19:05 PM | 30$ mouse (deathadder, very good gaming mouse) 30$ monitor (it's an old bulky one, not a flat panel, but the picture is nice and I don't feel the need to replace it) throwaway keyboard (any keyboard is fine if you're not worried about added features, and cheap keyboards are CHEAP) 125$ MSI motherboard/processor combo (2.9ghz dual core, onboard sound) 20$ creative 2 speaker / subwoofer set Nvidia GeForce GT 620 (40-60$ depending on where you look)
That's basically my rig, minus the power supply and casing which might run you 80$ if you get good ones. It runs most modern games at decent settings. That is about 350$ if you don't need to buy an OS (which you shouldn't, I assume) and it runs LoL at max settings at 60-70 FPS. Please don't spend 1000$ on a PC unless you want to play all of the top-of-the-line games and even then you can probably do cheaper. --- Bear with me... things are about to get grizzly! Fox is HOT! |
UnderwaterAirPosted 2/3/2013 10:42:35 PM | If you can scrounge up a mouse, keyboard, and monitor from somewhere it is perfectly possible to build a computer with 500 USD.
If you are willing to look on places like craigslist, ebay, local used PC parts shop (so long as you're smart about it and not letting them overcharge you), or know some local PC guys that have outdated hardware you can buy/bum parts off of, yeah, then it becomes possible to build a computer capable of maxing League at 1920x1080 for less than 300.
For instance, I have old xeon processors sitting around in some wholesale boxes. Couple one of these with someone's outdated GTX 260 sp216 video card? Slap on a mouse, keyboard, monitor, and Windows OS. There you go. Gaming on League at max settings at 1920x1080. --- http://oi41.tinypic.com/9ht4ea.jpg No matter which way you slice it you'll both be ending up in Hell! |
Price_Of_FamePosted 2/3/2013 10:46:10 PM | My cheap laptop that I've had for 3-4 years and use for ~everything~ plays on 60-65 fps constantly.
I can't imagine it costing that much to be able to actually tell what you are doing while playing. --- It's a Chastain world and we are all just living in it. |
Howdy7777777Posted 2/3/2013 10:47:25 PM | The requirements for this game are very low. I just play on my bestbuy laptop (~$400) on max settings and game runs very smoothly. |
bosss33Posted 2/4/2013 9:05:45 AM | Buy a cheap/mid level pc, and put a solid state hard drive in. It makes a HUGE difference.... I have a Lenovo laptop that was decent (it has a video card with discrete memory & an intel i3) but I would still have occasional chopping/FPS spikes, also my load time took forever.
I put a solid state drive in and the performance is amazing. It runs the game better than one of my friend's desktop pc's with a quad core, more memory, and a better graphics card. |

I am going to be building a PC as soon as I get a part time job at the end of this month and save up the money. The budget build on that website is cheap and will run any game out right now smoothly on at least medium settings. You do have to build it, but trust me when I tell you that is not difficult. There is a great tutorial by newegg on YouTube that walks you through it, no big deal. |

SexualPizzaPosted 2/4/2013 10:49:04 AM | From what I've heard newegg.com offers a payment plan. Something like 2 years no interest. It's far cheaper to build your own, and if you're gonna get a gaming desktop, you wanna get one that will last the next 4-5 years. It's a better investment. --- Best thing in life: Sex Second best thing in life: Pizza |
