Why do people get so mad about instalocking?

I can't understand this community sometimes. I've had 3 games in the past 2 days where I decided I wanted to play riven. It's a normal so I just decided to instalock. In all of these games I've had a teammate who decided to go duo top with me because "they typed it first." They get this self-righteous attitude too. I don't get how rushing to copy/paste something makes you better than clicking faster.

I don't usually autolock, but it's the only way to practice top or mid in normals. Even if I type it first and have a hero selected there's always a guy who doesn't comment and then 30 seconds later locks something that can only go into one lane--the one I've already obviously picked.

Because if you just instalock without using the time Riot gives you during champ select to communicate with your team then you're just a word I can't say without getting modded. You're part of the problem.

Communication. I have no remorse for anyone who instalocks.

The whole point of the time before game is too coordinate with your team. Idk why it just became a race to call lanes.

Its sort of like this
game plan time, we are going to play off each other's *insta-lock riven* way to be a team player riven...if you stopped and talked to your team you'd be able to say "hey i wanted to play as riven, is that ok?" if i was the guy who called top 9 times out of 10 I'd say "if you are good with her then sure, ill go to "x role" meanwhile you insta-lock i get pissed that you are just doing your own thing and you get no help from me. Plus every time i have played with an insta-lock they usually feed hard...

In reality it doesn't matter because 95% of the time if somebody calls a lane they aren't going to budge from it no matter how much "communicating" goes on.

But then again, if it's normals who cares?

I always instapick my champ and call my lane (because its blind pick, there is a reason draft pick exists), but I don't lock in in case we have someone who has literally never played another role than the one I took or if someone else asks politely. On the other hand, if i pick my champ first and call top first then someone else locks in top anyway 10 seconds later without saying a word then I will lock my champ in and deal with duo top.

Try to coordinate with you're team, but if you want to play a role at least try picking it/calling it first (and yes you DO have to call the roll and not just pick a champ, you can't instalock nunu and expect us all to know you want to go mid).

In blind pick normals I don't care, heck I'm a fan of it, because I don't care about the meta in blind pick normals, I just want to play whatever champ I want and have fun, but if you do that in draft, then that's bad, imo. I would prefer odd team comps then let's play the meta every game in blind pick. I feel that that's why it exists, to let you do w/e. Just my 2 cents.

I sincerely doubt that more than 2% of the playerbase would switch if you asked them too. You're being very idealistic.
