Kayle can play any role so it's not really a gimmick. If she's not supporting at bot, then AD Kayle is more than appropriate to use down there.

AD Kayle wrecks any of the standard ADCs in a 1v1, but you could end up eating a lot of harras and poke in lane due to her short range.

I only really have trouble if they have a support that can zone me hard and the ADC is Cait. I've made Vayne my ***** several times and those who go Trist or Graves are just generally boned.

Because they're still sheep who think she's support/top/AP mid/anything but an amazing ADC, not because it's a gimmick. She can literally 1v1 any other ADC, the only potential exception is Vayne because of her stealth. Poops on Draven, Ez, Graves, MF, Twitch, Varus, and whatever else I'm too lazy to remember.

Just don't be a scrub and take ignite "because it helps killing things" like exhaust doesn't do that ten times better.
