If 1200 elo is the starting point, why are there 5 leagues for above 1200 and only 1 league for below it?

Makes sense to not waste time on worse players. And it encourages those worse players to put in the leg work to get better.

because the difference in being division 1 garbage and being division 5 terrible is negligible.

All Riot does is baby low elo players. No longer being able to see win ratio for players champions is the newest thing they've created for them. Can't see their 300 games with Lee Sin and a 38% win ratio no sir.

You can see they have 400 games played and 150 wins. Doesn't take much to figure out they ain't that crash hot, regardless of champ/role.

You can click on 'See More Stats' on their League info. Currently it isn't showing me any wins for anyone, but it may in the future.

LoLKing shows total games (per champ and total), and the LoLClient shows total wins (per champ and total) so you can work out their stats like that.

Because being at the bottom of Bronze League seems a lot more surmountable than being at the bottom of Soap League.

Better to have a bottom heavy bracket, otherwise many people would just give up and quit.
