This new system is stupid

I got to 82 LP yesterday, and I'm thinking If I win one, maybe two more I'll get to 100. I ended up going on a three game win streak and getting a total 10 LP from the three. Then I lose 1 game and lose over 20 LP, so I just lost almost four games worth of wins in one loss. I seriously have no idea has the new system works, but it's really irritating.

I think it's a bug or something they're trying to fix.

I agree, the amount of LP you receive/lose is complete and utter BS.

It is suppose to be a proving point. Getting to a new Division is suppose to mean something, so it is hard to go up.

So does it even out after a bit?

So wouldn't it be like the old system? After playing a certain number of games, you'll reach your true elo?

The Division is your true Elo. If you are good enough, you rise up past the markers. If not, you don't. It is a broader thing. Instead of constantly going between 1300-1400 Elo or whatever, you just stay at a Division that is the same Elo worth.

Actually, I've been gaining 20 points per game. So that doesn't sound right.
