When the enemy has about 2,500 Health or more. Which in a standard game is at least 2 enemies. I'd say it's worth it if the tanks are giving you trouble.

Remeber its from Current health so you should half there maximum health to get the average damage you will be dealing with the item. The 2500HP example would give an average of 90dmg.

40 from the item 50 from there average hp being 1250. Slightly less that a fully stacked BT, less life steal too but it has its active. Also it has no crit like IE so that has to be taken into account. I would make sure that at least 2 people are going to have around 3500HP to get one.

BotRK is only a good damage item if you don't have an IE and PD. If you do have an IE and PD, BT does more damage on average unless the target has 2738 current HP or more.

60 more AD * (.55 * 2.5 + 0.45) = 109.5 average damage gained from BT with 55% crit including IE
109.5 / .04 = 2737.5

Think that's right, anyway.

Oh, and I don't know why people always say BotRK is an item to get late while BT is an item to get early. BotRK has better sustain than BT and the active is great for laning, but BT scales better with other items on an ADC to the point where it nearly obsoletes BotRK entirely with a full build.

Problem is most people get BT as there first item, getting this as your first item is a bad idea as people will not have that much HP stacked. An IE with its Crit chance and extra crit damage will out damage this on almost any target.

BotRK gets better as the game goes on due to increasing health numbers.

BT is stronger early game because 100 AD at minute 20 as your 1st/2nd item is a larger statistical upgrade than 100 AD at minute 60 as your 5th or 6th item.

They're talking about the pure stats on the item, but with crit it does have a very strong scaling.

But flat values are always better early, % values are much better late. BoRK is good to get if you decide you want to build a Runaans on someone (I'm thinking maybe just Kog)
