Does BotK ever out damage any other standard AD item? (BT, IE)

Runaan's still isn't a good item on Kog. If someone is diving you and you've got limited time while they're being peeled, you need to kill them ASAP. Runaan's doesn't help you do that.

And it doesn't matter that percents are better than flat values lategame. The percent on BotRK is low enough that BT does more damage once they're below 2738 HP, assuming you have the core lategame AD items. Period. Considering that most fights later on start with AoE nukes, that might as well be "all the time". If you have crit chance or damage runes, BT becomes even better.

Edit: Just to be clear, even if you DO take Runaan's on Kog, BT still outdamages BotRK once they're below 750 HP, meaning they need to have about 1500 HP (slightly less in practice) when you start shooting them for BotRK to do more total damage. So it's a fair bit better to take BotRK, but also you're going to take longer to kill a single diver while lifestealing less since you're missing 30% crit.

What I'm saying is that a Runaans build not only doesn't rely on Crit chance, it spreads out the BotRK procs to many people.

Did I say that it was better? Of course not. TC didn't ask for which was better, he was asking if it EVER outdamaged the other standard AD items.

In a game where you have Runaans against a tank team that can't dive you (because they're apparently Nasus, Skarner, Darius, Garen, and Cho) it would outdamage other AD items. That would be the scenario I can think of.

So BT: better if you are winning.

BotRK: better if you are losing.

This is what im getting out of this.

BT is better in situations where you're building crit.

As an AD carry you should always build crit

I did the math in another topic 'round here recently, some quick napkin math anyway. Lategame with the active, BORK's damage and lifestealing are "close enough" to BT in the short term that it's arguably worth the 300g lower cost, extra self-peel/kiting ability, and not having to deal with the risky stacking mechanic. This was assuming an IE + PD (+ Zerks) core.

BT is also a better rush item, of course. BORK is better in almost all other circumstances.
