When I lost I fell to 70. Dunno if that's a static amount or if it varies.

It depends how many of the games you won/lost.
Example: You are at 100 league points. Lose the first game your league points drop to 83 but you are still in your promotional series. You win the second game and your league points go back to 100. The third game lose and drop down to 82 league points and your series has ended. You end up at 82 league points.

Hope this helps^^

Isn't it a best of 5?

then losing the second time should nto end the series, you need 2 wins ina row to promote yourself though.

Also, say you are at 0 points.

Do you drop a league if you lose the next game or what?

Between divisions such as Gold IV to Gold III the promotional series are a best of 3. Between teirs such as Gold I to Platinum V the promotional series is a best of 5.

As long as you win 2 games(They don't need to be in order) for the best of 3 series you win. If you win your first two games you are promoted immediately without playing the third and final game.

For the best of 5 between tiers it is similar. You have to win 3 out of the 5 games. Once you receive your 3rd win no matter where in the series it ends and you are promoted to the next tier.

You cannot be demoted from tiers. Ex if you are Platinum V you cannot go to Gold I no matter how many your lose. You can be demoted in divisions though. The number of games it takes to lose to get dropped to the lower division. ex. Gold III to Gold IV varies depending on your hidden elo rating. The higher your hidden elo rating the more games you are allowed to lose before you are demoted. It is possible to be demoted with 0LP and lose 1 game. Some people have stated that they lost up to 5 games in a row and then being demoted.

Hope this helps^^

Ohh so it's a best of 5 starting from gold to plat, I see.

Now I get it.

This new system sounds much better IMO, it's just going to take way longer to climb.

Division and Tier Chart, start upper left and go horizontally across the row. Once at the edge of the row you move down to the next row.

Bronze V -> Bronze IV -> Bronze III -> Bronze II -> Bronze I
Silver V -> Silver IV -> Silver III -> Silver II -> Silver I
Gold V -> Gold IV -> Gold III -> Gold II -> Gold I
Platinum V -> Platinum IV -> Platinum III -> Platinum II -> Platinum I
Diamond V -> Diamond IV -> Diamond III -> Diamond II -> Diamond I

Note: After Diamond I there is the Challenger tier but I am not entirely sure how that works yet. I'll let you know when I get there LOL!^^

The best of 5 are for the tier placements from:
Bronze I to Silver V
Silver I to Gold V
Gold I to Platinum V
Platinum I to Diamond V

As you move across the row it is a best of 3:
Bronze V to Bronze IV will have a best of 3 match.
Gold III to Gold II will have a best of 3 match.

Hope this helps^^
