Akali nerf?

#1deoxxysPosted 2/13/2013 7:33:12 PM
Akali

These changes are to open up additional rune and mastery setups for Akali players. They’re intended to be a small change for those players who choose to stick with the setups they currently use.

Twin Disciplines
Discipline of Force
Now takes effect immediately instead of requiring 19.5 Ability Power
Base damage bonus reduced to 6% from 8%
Discipline of Might
Now takes effect immediately instead of requiring 9.5 Attack Damage
Base spell vamp bonus reduced to 6% from 8%

this sounds bad... but Ive never played akali...is this bad?

This kinda frees up a rune page, since you don't need to have to make a page exclusively for her.

Which means you can immediately get the benefits of increased m. damage and spell vamp at Lv 1 with a generic APC rune page

Also, they changed the passive from 8% to 6%.

Not only that, this may induce an increase in Akali players.

It's a nerf, in a way.

Edit: Q_Q Why Riot why...

I'm 90% sure that this change will keep the %s the exact same if you use the same runes/masteries that you used. What this does is allow her to give up early game power on her passive in order to use varying runes and masteries, which is fantastic.

Big buff imo

mild nerf but you can now make up the difference with runes, it seems.

so basically a buff and cause for her to be fotm now.

ffffffffffffffffffff-

it's a nerf unless someone shows me the numbers. you aren't going to be using a different page, just replacing the few AD reds with magic pen.

with no bonus stats, akali gets 6% bonus damage (no bonus AP) and 6% spell vamp (no bonus AD).

Discipline of Force: Upon obtaining 19.5 ability power, Akali's auto attacks deal 7.916% bonus magic damage, increasing by 1% for every 6 ability power gained thereafter. (This bonus damage affects all targets, including structures.)

Discipline of Might: Upon obtaining 9.5 bonus attack damage, Akali gains 7.916% spell vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 6 attack damage gained thereafter.

using a rune page to meet the old passive would leave you at 9.25% bonus damage which is an extra 1.25%.
reaching 9.5 bonus damage would give 7.58% spell vamp, which is a 0.42% loss.

So it's a decent buff to the Bonus Damage and a VERY small nerf to the SV.

Not bad.

It's a big buff.

You can use hybrid pen runes now.

lmao... nice.

She seems to be an interesting pick now. I'm sure voyboy is happy about this. Since he has 60+ games with her in solo queue.
