So I just got my gold back this season with the new system. Am I safely in gold now? Or can I lose it I heard I am stuck here now unless like I don't play for a few months.

No, you can go down. A lot easier than you can go up, in fact. --- Core i5 3570k 3.4Ghz | GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H | Kingston HyperX Black Series 8GB 1600Mhz | 1TB HDD | GeForce GTX 660 Ti | Corsair CX600 | Corsair 300R Windowed
But say if I got trolled 10 games in a row like I did the other day I will still be gold?

You can only go down tiers if you go inactive. Other than that, once you're in a tier you'll stay there till you move up.
You can, of course, drop down in divisions. --- XBOX360: IcarusWings961 // Steam: Soccerocker9 // LoL: Soc This is a bad idea.

Wait, so what if you're placed in Silver from placements? Can you still drop to Bronze? --- Chicago Bears 8-8, 3rd NFC North (2011-2012 Season) WE LIKE IKE! Aethering to victory.

How to drop down a League Division (eg. Silver III -> Silver IV): Play badly.
How to drop down a League (eg. Gold V -> Silver I): Go inactive for an extended period of time.

you can't lose gold unless you afk for like a month (28 days according to a redpost).
Divisions are reportedly very easy to lose. I'm not sure how - I'm getting significantly more LP than I lose and I'm not even that great. --- http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j360/voidgolem/Lagannrim_zps5e36b947.jpg
