So is it possible for me to go down in tier level in ranked

So I just got my gold back this season with the new system. Am I safely in gold now? Or can I lose it I heard I am stuck here now unless like I don't play for a few months.

No, you can go down. A lot easier than you can go up, in fact.

You can only go down tiers if you go inactive. Other than that, once you're in a tier you'll stay there till you move up.

You can, of course, drop down in divisions.

Wait, so what if you're placed in Silver from placements? Can you still drop to Bronze?

How to drop down a League Division (eg. Silver III -> Silver IV): Play badly.

How to drop down a League (eg. Gold V -> Silver I): Go inactive for an extended period of time.

you can't lose gold unless you afk for like a month (28 days according to a redpost).

Divisions are reportedly very easy to lose. I'm not sure how - I'm getting significantly more LP than I lose and I'm not even that great.
