"Increased the requirements for being demoted"

So that demotions will happen less frequently. Now the bads won't drop down as fast and if they are lucky they'll get carried and plague your existance forever. This new system is catering to all the bads who were stuck in elo hell in Season 2.

So, there are some who complain that you drop too easily because you can demote soon after you promote, and then there are others who complain that others won't demote fast enough?

First world problems.

BUT OP, ALL BAD PLAYERS WILL EVENTUALLY FALL TO THE DESIRED ELO THEY BELONG TO!

STOP COMPLAINING!

logically speaking if they were bad enough to be demoted before they're bad enough to be demoted now.

if I'm reading the redposts correctly this is more to lessen the "wtf I only played 4 games in division X after promoting and I'm demoted" factor.

The new system is horrible.

Win 3 games
Lose 4 games
Get demoted
Need to win like 6 games in a row to get back.
9 wins, 4 defeats "elo" gain 0.

actually it isn't 0 elo gain, you receive elo gain, you don't receive lp gain. However this accrues, eventually you get increased lp gains and decreased lp losses because your MMR is higher than where you are.

Wouldn't you get decreased lp gains if you play with lower MMR?

if you play with a lower MMR than where you are in the tier system, but if you maintain above a 50% winrate eventually your MMR will increase to where you get increased gains, whether or not you are moving up in the tier system. that was the point.

Okay, that sounds decent, didn't know this.
