I think he means in the downtime that you can't nab cs you harass w/ bio arcane aas or the occasional ult shot. Like he definitely did not mean you're draven tier aggressive but at least you're not being a passive pushover.

You can apply that to any bot laning champion ever though. Kog'maw is a team-dependent champion, and has the goal of getting farmed for the unstoppable late game force he is. If he can make the early laning phase work out for him, that's good more power to him.

However, to outright say that Kog'maw has positive matchups in lane, which the only other ADC he can outplay if both players were on the same skill level is Twitch, is wrong. The second he presses W and goes to harass Ashe with autoattacks, he's gonna eat her W, which is a lot more spam-able than his own range buff. Pair that with no escapes and an extremely shoddy slow that can't really be utilized to defend himself, and he has a fairly bad early game compared to most other ADCs.

kog's W does not have 100% uptime. On top of that volley has incredible range.

Again, kog w is not 100% uptime. Volley is really good poke. Volley is a lot easier to hit and cheaper in the long run mana-wise vs Kog's E/R.

Kog would be running away because Ashe will have poked him down and then chased him. He won't be fighting her 1v1 in range both at full health.


I don't find anything outrageously wrong with what Aphoristic said tbqh. Ashe does abuse Kog and the lane is more dependent on the supports involved.

This should be an easy laning phase granted you don't get wrecked by their jungler.
