So the Sejuani guide was made by an 800 elo dude

Someone, please write a 'superior' guide then, so I don't have to endure your bull****.

Gfaqs guides for pvp games always were troll/joke guides. I don't understand why people on this board takes it seriously. Anyone good would write guide on the known websites dedicated to the games.

Picking on a low elo won't prove anything..

You guys are honestly unbelievable. Cut the guy some slack for at least doing something. You all knew there was money involved, and I'm sure you can finish a guide in the same timespan you'd waste playing a game of league.

But then again, I'm on a gamefaqs board where people would rather fling feces at one another for being trash rather than try to help somebody else.

Now I've mentioned more than once that I am not a pro at this game. My approval of your guide does NOT mean you win and get the money. After I post your guide, I'll be coming to this board and asking the users if they feel that it's up-to-date and relevant. This process does NOT take any personal bias about how to play the Champion into account, only that the guide applies to the current version of the game. If someone doesn't like your strategies, they are always welcome to create their own guide, after all.

This is also relevant, because I have this nagging feeling that someone just wants the money for this.

"I have a nagging feeling that you're a scrub that doesn't know anything"

Well then you are always welcome to create your own guide. I wrote about what has worked (and continues to fairly consistently work) for me, so if you have a method that works for you, go ahead and write about that.

It sounds like our main conflict is on masteries, anyway, which I agree can work fully with a 0/21/9. Cool beans. I will be updating to re-emphasize its validity, as I have been playing it lately and it works fine. There are advantages to both.

IIRC I mention that taking move quints and utility lets you put off upgrading to lucidity for a pretty long time, since you'll be faster than most people with just level 1 boots. You still rush warmogs, you still rush Sunfire. Kindlegem is what you get when you can't quite afford giants belt early, and upgrades into lots of useful stuff.

It sounds like you don't like building CDR on Sejuani, and I don't think you're in the minority, but this doesn't make it a worse build. You still end up stacking health, and getting the same core items.

I agree that the builds, masteries are a little unorthodox to say the least there are variants to playing a character. A classic example is having a set skill order(Especially in levels from 3 and under). If you invade you may take a skill point in something different than if you plan to passively jungle etc. however the maxing of the order is usually the same. I prefer running 0/21/9 or 9/21/0 on Sej myself and not ever upgrading pass Spirit stone.

The guide creator did state his elo and intentions so I think it is fine. He is trying to provide information for starters. As people gain more experience in the game they develop their own unique play styles. With enough experience you should not even be using guides except as an overview for unfamiliar characters and fine tune the builds in the guide to suit your needs. Especially since SoloQ can be play many ways.

I can understand TC's frustration but at least the guide's creator is not claiming the guide to be optimal or the one and only build. Plus there is still useful information in there such as buff timings for people starting out.

At the very least, I will update when I'm done with midterms to make it very clear what the 'standard' Sejuani builds are, even though she's played so rarely that there's hardly a standard for her in the first place.

This is also true, if you're following a guide 100%, then you're probably not a knowledgeable player in the first place. You have to build situationally, do you think I even follow my own advice 100% of the time, when I'm in a weird situation that calls for something else?

On Sejuani, your core is Warmogs, Sunfire, Liandry's, and then the rest is ultimately situational. It seems like we all agree on that, actually.

He's obviously very passionate about Sejuani and doesn't like the challenge to his belief-set.

I also just realized what he was referencing in the topic title; I am no longer stuck in 800 elo. I started playing Sejuani when I was already in silver. I know that's not impressive, but I thought I made it pretty clear that there's very little high-level precedent for Sejuani play.

When we start seeing Sejuani in the LCS, let me know so I can adapt the pro strategies like everyone else
