The only "valid" reason I can see this happening is if you are playing with a really low level friend. Teaming with him as a level 30 can put them up against some skilled players, making it much more difficult to learn or get better.

I understand people like to pubstomp, but I personally find it boring if the match is a complete annihilation. Having no challenge makes it much less exciting.

Just really curious as to why people make smurf accounts.

So that they can play ranked games without the pressure of if I lose this, the account that I put most of my time into will fall into a lower bracket or just increase the losses etc.

My smurf season 2 was pretty much the same elo as my main, but I played it when I wanted to test something out at my elo or just wanted to play ranked without having the stress of needed to win.

I made mine in order to play with low level friends. But I've won too much on it and it still drags them up to an Elo where we get smurfs every single game that they just can't compete with/I sometimes can't outcarry.

So now I get on it every once in a while to just play a stress free game where I can do something silly and know that I will be able to outplay my lane opponent. Is that bad and a bit unfair to those lower level people? Yeah, but I can't really avoid that if I'm simply trying to level the smurf up to the point where I can join ranked on it.

Need that level 30 account to help baddies in ranked. I don't find stomping normals fun so I stick to bot games and dominion.

This actually seems like a good idea. I've been wanting to seriously try Dominion for awhile, so I can do it on a smurf while still getting IP for champs/runes when I eventually want to do ranked.

Could theoretically do a third one for TT if I get more newbie friends.
