What are the advantages and disadvantages compared to Dota2?

It's all preference. DotA is slower IMO and many others then LoL.

Regarding community's I always laugh as this board is flooded with DotA elites who bash lol and troll our users.

As someone who is on both boards everyday I very rarely see anyone from lol over there and the ones I do play both games..

You can search the boards yourself to verify this instead of taking my word for it.

Try LoL first, since it is free.

If you like it, then dont bother moving on to Dota2 anyways, since LoL has a much larger playerbase.


Personally, i started on DotA, LoL came out, and i moved to that and never looked back. I just feel like the Strength, agility, intelligence system is so much more inferior to the LoL stat system.


Both communities are awful, but thats just because game communities in general are awful. The douche bags are always more frequently vocal than the nice guys.
