Your question made me do some digging, and it was sometime between the release of Skarner and Talon, if I'm not mistaken, so mid-August 2011 to present.
I keep playing because despite having plenty of other games, I already sunk too much into this dumb game to just throw it out, and I've just turned another friend onto it yesterday.
