Reading some of the Red's thought process on balancing made me realize that its not easy just changing a few numbers. How nerfing items is bigger than nerfing champs, nerfing a certain champ's X will make them less effective, etc.

Then again who really thinks they know more/as much as Riot about balance?

It can be very obvious what is a problem, but the hard part is knowing how to touch it without destroying the champion. I would say Riot is only better than us because they all have experience in the field and constantly test stuff to see how good or bad it is.
