Quick question. Are there any "characters" I can put in my SN that wont show up?

80/80

I want to make a summoner name for a team i'm in, level up a new account and all that.

But then name i want is taken, are there any characters that I can place into my name that make it "unique" but are invisible? ;)

I think stuff like Korean is invisible in the client to some people, but then it becomes visible in-game, so that's probably not what you're looking for. I'm not sure if there's something specifically like that, but you could always try the clever trick people do where you use a letter with an accent over it to get a name that isn't taken.

What if you run into the person with the real name?

Awkward.

If there's an uppercase i, you can replace it with lowercase L, I guess. Uppercase i does look different from lowercase L, but most people won't notice. Unfortunately, replacing lowercase L with uppercase i is quite noticeable.

Gotta love the Spaniards.

Used an accented i. the tip of it is a slanted , instead of .
