I have some leftover RP from a card I bought a while ago, and, for now, it doesn't look like any more skin purchases are on the horizon. I've been wanting both Kassadin and Thresh for a while, and I just got enough IP to afford Kass and realized I could buy Thresh, too. Would you suggest using RP to buy Thresh, or should I wait and just buy him with IP? Should I wait and see if either of them go on sale this week?

do you prefer mid or support?

before spending RP, at least wait for the sale, it's only about 18 hours away before it's announced.

Personally I wouldn't spend RP on a champ but if you want to you should get Kass with IP and Thresh with RP

That's the thing - I don't own any Supports or Mids (aside from TF). I've played Thresh once, back during his free week, and I liked him a lot (but did rather poorly, since that was my first week, lol), and I'm not very good at midding with Twisted Fate. Thresh and Kassadin seem like they're very good in their respective lanes, and Kass's kit looks like a lot of fun (even if he is a melee AP Mid). I figured they'd be good starting points to get into the world of not-top-lane-bruiser-Volibear.

If you like mid lane at all, Kass is a good champ to have for it....but be warned *Kass is a anti-carry (along the lines of Urgot), NEVER first pick him. Always use him to counter pick the enemy mid.

That said, he is one of the strongest mids in the game, but he does take a bit of knowledge to play him well. Once he hits 6, he's near unkillable because he can just ult away. He's IMO the most mobile and 2nd best mid roamer in the game (I'd ay TF is #1).



Thresh on the other hand can be played a couple ways, but he's honestly best at support. He's a fairly aggressive support too, in between Lulu and Leona levels. Very satisfying to land hooks and his ult is a huge displacement spell. He too takes some mastering though, and collecting souls is important for him.


Definitely only get Kass with IP though, 3150 isn't too much. Thresh probably won't be on sale for at least a month I'd say, so there's that.

I'd say it really just depends on what roll you want to pick. Both are solid choices

why get them with real money when you can get them for just playing?

On the one hand, that's why I'm hesitant to use RP to get Thresh. On the other, I don't see me using the RP for anything else any time soon, and my birthday's coming up in a month or so, and it would probably take about that long to save up IP enough to buy himm (unless I do another 'nothing but LoL' week and grind IP).
