Losing lane implies that you're down in CS, likely down in kills, and lost your turret first (if you lane opponent is unintelligent and doesn't see that every second in the laning phase makes them stronger than you). It doesn't matter how good an ADCs late game is, if the other ADC has 2000+ more gold then you will be worse off for it.
