New to LoL, Help picking a good champ to main?

I like people who can duel well and I usually play Top or Jungle.

So far I like Khaz'ix and Warwick but WW isnt that great apparently, especially pre 6 and I end up getting more assists than kills with him.

Anyone recommend any champs that are good duelers and play the roles I mentioned? Please explain why if you do, thanks.

Let's not main any champs and play whoever you think is fun

Well, fitting your requirements and given your level I'd suggest someone such as Xin Zhao.

find one you're decent with and don't feed with that you like,

main him until someone else tickles your fancy

don't listen to people who faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar outrank you, nothing they tell you will help

counterpicking is a thing, team synergy is a thing, but you shouldn't worry about that yet

so fiora and adc yi are viable for you

mordekaiser duels well, so does Jax(he may be the best) and vi

jax is 1350, morde is 3150, vi is 6300

A bunch of my friends are picking up LoL recently and I'll tell you what I've told all of them: try Garen. He's one of the easiest champs to play since he has no skillshots and doesn't have to manage a second resource. He's also only 450 IP which doesn't set you back much if you end up not liking him. If you end up enjoying Garen, you can learn the mechanics of the game while playing him and move onto other champs later.

Too beefy.

Olaf and Jarvan IV are solid in both roles. Garen is an easy character to learn, and plays top well. He was my first champ. The only problem with him is he is very predictable. Looking back at the thread Jax is definitely a good choice too.

Idk I wouldn't worry about "maining" anyone yet, just get used to all the champs to prepare for when you hit 30
