Skarner's AD scaling is better than what some people might want to give it credit for. That .8 bonus AD on his Q is damn strong, why I love Spirit of Elder Lizard on him.

But with his entire kit based on AP, why on earth would you go AD?

By the way, it was a 16 minute surrender. Bot lane (where he was, I was top) went 0/6 by 10 minutes.

By design he should be constantly auto-attacking enemy champions, which also utilizes his AD. That .8 AD ratio is also far better than any of his AP ratios individually.

If we're talking glass cannon one way or the other, yeah I'd prolly go AP since it gives a balance of defensive AP ratios.

I get the attack speed, but if you went AS/AP instead of AS/AD, you wold be boosting all of the damage your q, e, and r does, and boosting your shield. With AD you get none of those things.

You get that your auto-attacks deal more damage with AD, right. He has a strong very strong AD ratio and an atk spd steroid, that isn't too uncomparable to four mediocre to decent AP ratios.

As far as the overall kit though, pure AP is better off than pure AD because of the trollulz of shields and heals making him fake-tanky.
