When I play Support, if I can make a play that saves my Carry but I die, I will.

80/80

Is this a good thing? Like, if it's guaranteed that one of us WILL die, but as the Support I can make sure that that is ME, instead of my Carry, I will make the suicide play to keep my Carry alive. Is this a good way to play? It usually doesn't happen more than once or twice a match at this point, but is this an ok mindset? A mindset of "My carry's life is more valuable than mine in 95% of situations"?

Definitely, just know you may get crap for that later when you're 0/4/7 and 3 of the 4 was to save the carry. But you made the right play, and that's what matters.

Better the ADC stays alive for the exp/gold.
It depends though.
If your adc is 0/5 and you're 3/0/2 and he is auto attacking and 70 cs behind enemy adc then you're better off denying the shut down gold and saving yourself, since your adc isn't going to make the most of your sacrifice anyway.

This is exactly how you should play. Especially in laning phase. Protect your carry, get them fed. Their life > your life. You're just not likely to get much praise for it.

Agreed, it also makes it more rewarding if your ADC can pick up a kill so its not just a 0-1 trade.

Alright, I figured. I was just wondering, since I was playing a game a couple days ago as Blitz. My ADC was too aggressive, but otherwise not a bad player. By the time laning phase ended I was 0/4/10 and our ADC was quite fed, but top-lane Nidalee was calling me out on bing 0/4 while having a skin. I told her I was support and she should look at assists, but she was having none of it.

People in soloqueue are dumb, that's why.
They look too much at k/d and act like a death is the end of the world.

Oh, you gave FB to their sona so you could give your carry a triple kill during a level 2 gank? "gg support feeder noob report"

If my ADC is good, I will die for them..

Otherwise I leave them for dead, and support whoever on my team is doing good.
