Should I go mid or support? I hardly see any good Zils but the scary ones I have seen makes me interested in Zil.

Go mid for bombs that actually hurts and an ult that's actually useful.

Support Zil is superior to Mid Zil. One damaging ability that can be used twice in a row isn't exactly huge Mage potential, and you're wasting a slot that could be filled with a Mage that actually has damage.

Support Zilean is a lot of fun.

Go support and just poke spam your time bomb. It does rediculous damage at early levels and has a relitively large range with an instantaneous cast and travel time.

This. I ****ing hate bottom lane vs Zilean. Between his bomb harass past both waves of minions and post-6 ult trolling, he is easily one of the most obnoxious supports in the game, second only to an accurate Blitzcrank
