I recently started playing ranked again, felt I was in shape to rank up. Win one game. Cool. Win another. Awesome. Win yet another. Hot streak. ..and another. Lucky me.
Wins keep coming like water from a fountain.
Suddenly I realize I have ELEVEN ranked wins in a row. Climbed two divisions without dropping a single game.
I am convinced that my new playstyle is the winning playstyle.
The probability of winning 11 times in a row is 0.05% if we assume the chances of winning any one game is 50%. Extremely unlikely.
It's more likely that I discovered a winning playstyle. If we assume the probability of winning a game is 90% then the probability of winning 11 times in a row is 31%. More believeable right?
Here is what I believe to be the winning playstyle:
1) Gank to help your allies and let them take the kills. You know you're good and don't need kills. KDA? What's that? 2) Don't die. Unless you're dying for a exceptionally good reason, don't do it. 3) Ward the map and ward for your allies. 4) Be a good person. Never argue. Never blame. Do things like ping for your allies. Even if you're top and the mid lane is mia ping it for him.
That about sums up what I do to win. Don't believe me? Just toss out whatever you knew out the window if you're having trouble winning and do those four things. It might take time adjusting to a new playstyle but I guarantee it will pay off.
Great advice, let me go 4/0 in lane, get every other lane fed, make calls while everyone else is afk farming and getting caught to unify our team, buy 2-3 wards every time i back because the sona with the sightstone isnt placing a single ward, and then be nice to everyone when they tell me to shut the **** up after i try to give direction to the team "we should get baron its 5 on 2!" or whatever.
seems like you got lucky having teammates that weren't brain dead, who spoke english, and who actually did something with the lead you created.
Your MMR will skyrocket if you keep that up and you will have many many miserable games. Although your tips are quite good, I would like to add also "Don't think of every single game as make or break. Think of your LoL playing overall and this jst being another step" that mentality generally keeps me from raging although if I lose 5 or so in a row I try to stop for the night. --- Wicks so sweet its swicks
