I just recently found out my friend is part of this site that charges to elo boost and for coaching lessons as well. He gets like $16 for every won game, in the process if he loses he has to make one up for free. In the span of three days he's racked up $300+.
Even on the site itself there are players who offer coaching lessons and you can specific which server you play on, what role you want coaching in, and language you speak. There are even Gold IV players on that list who charge upwards of $35 an hour, and Diamond 2 players who charge as low as $10 an hour.
It just shocked me because I'm not just "discovering" the site. A while back some random PM'd me the site on LoL and when I clicked it I thought it was some hackjob and was just stealing money. Now that I've seen the site again due to my recent friend my eyes were opened and I was like "No way, this was actually real?" I didn't mean the whole eloboosting process, I knew people did that all the time. But I didn't realize the site was actually....not fake. And it's so streamlined to about the rules and everything, it just kinda...blew up at me.
Ecchi Highlight: Nanatsu no Taizai
"Awesome story, lovable characters, great art, and a smidge of ecchi to lay on the side."
It's a video game. I give zero f***s if one person plays another's account to get them a higher score.
One day dude, I'm just gonna get off the bus, and I'm gonna run in the woods and never come back, and when I come back I'm gonna be the knife master!
I don't care one way or the other on coaching.
But I DO personally believe that paying someone to boost my elo would be dishonest, and I wouldn't feel satisfied with it since I didn't earn that ranking on my own merits.
I'd love to hear your life story and all, but I'm kind of busy eating this nice plate of "I don't give a damn".
Doesn't affect me. If people want to pay money so they can make their imaginary stats look better, then let them.

i don't really care provided the eloboosted person stops playing ranked until his skill level somehow reaches where he has been boosted to.
Meh, doesn't really matter. Most people who pay for that kind of thing will lose their rating eventually for not belonging there.
Lessons are fine with me, elo boosting is just sad. Paying someone to get an account higher because you cant level it up yourself is pathetic. I think it would be cool to be paid to smash bronze kids though.
Gibe moni pls, i gib u elo
Add me I'm good. ign Schmelton
lessons and boosting are pretty different
Coaching I'm fine with. When you're a coach, you're taking time out to teach someone from your personal knowledge. I've coached people before and it can be REALLY frustrating when they just do NOT get something. Even as simple as "I want you to save your arcane shift to be used exclusively defensively." Then they continue to ignore that and shift in and you're like "why?" and they have no response.
It's frustrating and time consuming so unless you're doing it for a friend I think $ compensation is perfectly fine. Some people want to get better at league so they turn to coaching, if they have the money and the urge then why not?
Boosting is not okay. Why are you boosting? So you can brag about your rating to someone who doesn't care? It's even worse if you get caught and people know you boosted because then it's pathetic. It's worse because it's also having a negative impact on the players in the games of the booster's account because they're not getting a fair chance to win.
For the boosters, they're doing it for the money but ruining solo queue for people. It's harder to fault them, there's a market for their services, job is easy and it makes money. Unless they morally oppose the idea, it makes perfect sense for them to make money playing a game they were going to play anyways.
For the boosted, back to my original point of why? Paying for silver/gold/plat/diamond doesn't make you those ratings. You might fool some people. How much are you willing to pay to brag about your rating in a game that you didn't even achieve? But hey, it's their money and they obviously want it really badly so ok, go ahead. Can't stop you but you're enabling a very bad thing for a poor reason.
