Wither shouldn't really bother you because Riven doesn't need ASPD and she has multiple dashes.

Nasus only has three counters.

1: His team
2: An enemy team consisting of Vayne, Poppy, Irelia, Veigar, and a support with cc.
3: Riot's Servers.

Riven is about level 1 and 2 aggression. Against a Nasus you should be starting fort pot and constantly attacking him at the minion wave while pushing.

When you hit level 2, all in him with fort pot. Ensured first blood or flash. Then constantly push the lane on his tower and force him to b. Gain a level advantage and murder him when you reach level 6. Your lane is now snowballed and nasus should have like, half your farm. Take the tower and roam to mid and bot and snowball those lanes.

Voila, you just beat a top lane nasus. Everybody acts as if Nasus magically becomes unstoppable at the 30 min mark regardless of how hard you win your lane. If you're playing any non-passive top laner (Lee Sin, Riven, Renekton, ect.) then Nasus should be a free lane win.

If you push the hell out of Nasus, he's just going to farm under turret and eventually get bigger than you. If you get a substantial advantage you have to lasthit properly and zone him, particularly as Riven who has no ranged damage to harass safely under turret and AoE attached to all her crap so she pushes like hell if you fight in the creep wave.

But yeah Riven's Level 1-3 cheese is strong enough to go hard on Nasus out of the gate and stomp if she plays correctly.

riven is a lane bully, nasus is vulnerable to lane bullies early game

roll him at level 2, he won't be able to trade, reach 6 before him and kill him then

be careful not to get ganked, don't stand in spirit fire.

Riven doesn't counter Nasus if the Nasus knows what he is doing and doesn't fall to stupid level 2 cheese and starts with 80 armor.

It all depends solely on rune setups for each champ. If the Riven has a full AD/ArmP, he should be able to stomp a Nasus with a stun/slash combo at lvl 2. The only way Nasus can survive early game is if he came prepared with a full armor page and LS Quints and a cloth5 start. And this is coming from a player that completely mains Nasus top. Riven and Jayce are the only reason I built a rune page with nothing but armor and LS quints.

Teemo is the only other champ, besides Riven, that I still have trouble with as Nasus top.

Riven is countered by anyone who can survive her early all-in and just farm under tower and walk back into lane with a Chain vest on 1st back and still deal damage

Darius
Renekton
Nasus
Irelia

Riven is still one of those champs with a high potential to outplay the opponent, due to her mobility and damage
