I did. I thought they were good and that I had to build their way every game. When I go back to them, I just laugh my ass off. They are so unbelievably bad. But hey, they helped me memorize the items.

Nah, I was taught how to play by a friend.
Kinda. He was a bit hands-off so it took me around 3 games as Cho'gath before I figured out how to purchase a Rod of Ages. >.> I never noticed the search bar.

One day dude, I'm just gonna get off the bus, and I'm gonna run in the woods and never come back, and when I come back I'm gonna be the knife master!

I did.

Chances are, even bad guides will result in better builds than what a new player would come up with on their own.

Ha. I rarely use the search bar :/ I've memorized all the combinations by heart so I can just navigate the items quickly. I use it when I play a champion like Janna mid and I have to buy the appropriate items. I just write the acronyms. "Bork", "SV", "BV" etc.

Yup that's true. I remember building glass cannon every game and I was wondering why I was dying all the time. Turns out that diving 5 people is not a good idea as a carry.

I was overwhelmed by LoL's addictiveness and I discovered the majority of it's mechanics fairly quickly on my own .

I was so happy when I found out that Twin Shadows will appear if you search for the term "spooky". :>

What happens when you write "tons of damage"? I haven't tried it and I'm not near my computer so I can't check. It's probably the trinity force.

It's triforce. And yeah, I used guides to get a general idea and in some cases followed the build because it made sense like on Jax (in season 2).
