What happened at the EU LCS today is why LoL will never be a real sport.

It is an absolute travesty that Gambit had to replay a game that they already won.

Could you imagine any Big 4 NA sport doing this? Everything that ends in the game STAYS in the records, no matter what happens there no are rematches because if there were then the system would collapse as we know it.

If they paused in the middle of the original game and called a restart I could understand but this was just a huge joke.

The fact that people have gotten athlete visas to live/compete in other countries seems to disagree with you.

You're forgetting this is a newly budding industry. They already have rules in place that state that the game should have been restarted from the pause like you already said which would have been fine. It was a mistake on the ref's part.

Those types of things happen even in today's more largely recognized sports that have been around much longer. The ref will be dealt with and rules will slowly but surely start to be enforced more heavily the more we run into things like this.

How do you think major sports got a large portion of their rules and infrastructure? From mistakes happening, people getting upset, and changes being made. This is just part of the process into building something larger and better.

This is something that has been dealt with now, and they will end up having the correct answer to deal with this sort of issue the next time it arises. This is hardly a big deal in the sense of "omg could never be a sport", just a part of growth.

Some idiotic bs by riot. Aatrox's W was bugged so it was proccing every 2 hits instead of 3. Apparently only at level 2 though. Riot said it gave him too much of an advantage in that game and decided to replay it.

Did they stop the game at that moment or let it go on for who knows how long? Former would be understandable and even fair, latter would be idiotic beyond belief.
