Multiplayer glitch at first fork/junction/bunki

When I reach the first fork/junction/bunki at the end of the first beach section, that game glitches out and I end up driving through thin air and crashing into invisible walls

What can I do?

...that was on "Outrun" course. Driving a set course seems to be OK.

Also regarding multiplayer: Many people seem to drive AT. Is there less advantage to MT in multiplayer?

check your ports, this really only really happens when your nats strict.

Er, which ports?
I'm behind a wireless router so I'd need to set port forwarding.

ports 88 and 3074 set them to both (udp and tcp)

Ok thanks. I'm not 100% sure how to do that (I know how to forward ports but I'm not sure how to give the XBox a static IP address) but I'll try this evening after work

I have this happen sometimes. Depends on the host. If I'm hosting it doesnt happen, but if someone else is, then its possible I might fly off the track into thin air. Its a pain, but the only thing you can do is quit out and try again.

The only patch is for Microsoft to buy out all telecommunication services around the world and to provide everyone with the same routers.

I don't know about you but I have glorious Blue, Blue Skys of Death Free Outrun every time!! I had to watch a video on YouTube to see what people were going on about lol.
