Never played the early fallouts, but Fallout 3 was terrible, and Fable 2 was ridiculously bad.

I remember telling them I hated Oblivion and they still recommended Fallout as though it were different.

I have Way of the Samurai coming in the mail. I'm excited about this--I packaged it up with Rise of the Argonauts, another that got lackluster reviews. But I'm a mythology sucker, so that ought to keep me pretty happy.

I've played Fallout 1,2,Brotherhood of Steel, heck I played all of the Fallouts...except Fallout 3...yeah its a good game for some people..but I just can't grasp Fallout being not Fallout.....plus...i think fallout is one of those games that possible invent putting sex and gore in one....with its own humour...so..yeah..fallout 3 is a bit disappointing...I just hope New Vegas is ok...

Well other than that fable1 n 2 are just perfect.....

And Way of Samurai...is an original way in its own right...Its like Yakuza but u can carry a katana around lol

How did this topic become a sounding board for people's grievances with fallout 3?

You will love this game. I do. This is definitely WotS1 but way bigger. That was the only thing I didn't like about WotS1. It was too condensed. Everytime you changes location the story progressed. I liked how you can move the story at your own pace in this one.

Face it to a majority of gamers out there WotS3 isn't exactly a AAA title. This is a niche game a game for people who like samurai and have watched movies and read books about. It's also a game that takes a little time to get started, the immediate gratification just isn't there.

People are making comments about Gamestop employees as if they all have motives as if they get commission for sales. The only thing that separates them and us is the job they have. Someone who doesn't like this game has just as valid opinion as someone who does like the game. In all the time I've dealt with Gamestop the only times I've ever received an opinion on a game is when I asked for one or if the employee and I have developed a sort of friendship. I've never looked at a game and had them say "Oh you're buying this, it sucks." If you think about it it's rediculous the heat some of these guys get when all they are is a teenager at a job they'll not stay with.

I DID buy this game today, used for $39 at gamestop. The idea of an open world samurai game with dual wielding, insta kills, weapon creation etc, to me sounded can't miss. However after about 20min of playing I ran back to the mall to return this. I understand the "you only played it 20min you haven't seen jack" argument, but for me, it was just not there. It seemed like it was going to be a lot of work to get going, where as currently I was just looking for something accessible and fun. The potential for a great game is certainly there, but its just not for me right now.

This is all very true but to recommend that he not get WotS3 when he specifically stated that he enjoyed the first title is ignorant. It's like telling someone who liked GTA: Vice City not to get GTA: San Andreas just because you didn't like it. If you liked one game there's a big chance you'll like a newer, very similar version with more features.

Personaly I'm friends with my local gamestop workers being a reguler customer. BUT. I do have to say that most gamestop workers will usualy attempt to push the high doller new releases and the preorders. I never preorder a game unless I know its an absolute must have. One thing many people should also know is as workers for gamestop they do NOT pay full price for games and often know about releases months in advance also they have a "renting" system for the workers. My point here is NEVER let a GS worker tell you what to buy unless you realy trust them because they will simply push you to spend as much money as possible making their store and themselves look good.
