Mix Elixir - Pun lost in translation?

What's the Japanese name for it?

Also, it's a shame that most people won't get the "That's right!"/"Is that so?" gag with Wobbuffet and Wynaut. I thought that was pretty hilarious.Though they did have him saying "Why not take your prize?" as well, so they kinda stuck in a translated variant alongside it.

No, It's not wrong translation, Its a look-a-like item for the max elixir... It does the same thing, but ONLY for the pokemon "Linoone" Otherwise, it's useless...

Wobbuffet's name in Japanese sounds a lot like it's saying "That's right!", which is why Wobbuffet always pops out of the pokeball after Team Rocket's motto in the TV show. But the English translators dropped the ball and it seems Wobbuffet is just randomly popping out for no reason. Wynaut's name in Japanese sounds a lot like it's saying "Is that so?" or something.

So two pokemon making puns with their own names "Is that so?" "That's right!" are lost in the English translation.

Right, but why Linoone? I'm guessing there's supposed to be some joke linked to the Japanese names of both of them.

Look-a-like items are supposed to be bad. And Linoone's are quite hard to recruit.

I'm pretty sure that the Japanese name was "Massa Elixir"; Linoone's Japanese name is Massaguma.

Ah, not Massa, just Mas- "Max" is pronounced "Makusu" and "Mas" would be "Masu", so it would only be a variance of one symbol.
