Well my wife bought me this game for Christmas and I must say (after only playing about 20 mins of it), I'm very impressed.
Atmosphere reminds me very much of Bioshock (another favourite of mine), so I'm looking forward to playing it through and trying the multiplayer. I may see some of you online in the next few days - go easy on me until I learn the ropes!
I also got this for Christmas. Reminds me of Bioshock and Half Life 2 mixed together really.
I like too. Another quality game on 360.
Always looking for more like these.....
I to got this game for christmas its a great game and i find it more like Bioshock and Metro 2033 combined becuse I found halflife to be more open while metro was more cave crawling like this

Yeah Half Life 2 does feel a like its levels are more open. but other things also remind me of Half life 2 in Singularity. Like:
- Scientists doing experiments around the place, in both games
- the enemies that are special op marines (or something like that), in both games
- gravity gun from HL2, and your hand in Singularity that moves objects,
- both games have a girl running around with u,
- Mutated Zombies from humans from experiments gone wrong, in both games...
could be more, just cant remember right now......
Ive never played Metro, although my brother played it, and i did watch him play a bit.
Metro looked VERY linear compared to Singularity. I could be wrong though, since i never really played it.
And enemies seemed more like demons, rather than zombies...But if its similar to Singularity, and its good, i may buy it...
I was really looking forward to Metro but when I bought it....there was 'something' I couldn't put my finger on that made it disappointing. It IS very linear but I don't mind that in some games.
I think it was more to do with the enemies you faced (more specifically the human enemies), they just seemed to be very very hard to defeat. I don't give up on games easily but I drifted away from Metro. I may try it again one day but I'm having serious fun with Singularity, so far it's been very good indeed.
*VERY MINOR HALF LIFE 2 SPOILERS*
So Half Life 2 (+episodes), Singularity and Metro 2033 are the first modern-ish games that come to mind when thinking about linear FPSes?
And they all contain a large amount of Russian text.
What's up with that?
^ You might have stumbled onto something here.......
I agree on Metro 2033. I wanted to love it --love all the other games listed above-- but just didn't enjoy playing it much...
Singularity kicks ass, however.

Whilst the West was creating a economic powerhouse to destroy the Soviet Union they were secretly conducting mind experiments with computer games in order to brainwash us for the coming Soviet Union MRK 2. We're all sleeper agents :P
I enjoyed Metro. It was atmospheric, the shooting didn't bother me, and . However it was far too linear and far too short, certainly not the kind of game I hold on to.
Half-Life2 is just awesome, plain and simply. However the half-life series is one of my favourite series and I can't really fault it.
Singularity is so far I think better than Metro, and I imagine I'l enjoy it more, however it doesn't feel as atmospheric, and at times a bit campy. However the moments that do draw you in do so EXTREMELY well. Especially the first part where you go back to the fire at the train station. Awesome.
Metro is GARBAGE compared to this game....please do not compare it!!!!!
